RV Products shuts down until January
(Nov. 20, 2008) Economic conditions force the temporary measure, the company's chief executive says.

Wichita-based RV Products will shut down production for six weeks because of economic conditions.

The company, at 3050 N. St. Francis, makes heaters and air conditioners for the recreational vehicle industry.

The shutdown affects 161 workers. Their last day will be Friday, and they are scheduled to return to work Jan. 5. They will not be paid during the shutdown but will retain benefits.

Another 45 office and service employees will remain at work.
