RVDA Women's Breakfast Forum
The women’s breakfast, held September 24th at the RVDA convention, focused on achievement, self-confidence and communication and was attended by more than 50 convention attendees.
Van Pelt is a former Chairwoman of the RV Dealers Association.
Brunoforte served as Chairwoman on the Committee on Excellence Parts task force.
Kietzmann served as chairwoman of the Committee on Excellence customer Warranty task force.

It takes a dedicated individual to be up for a seminar at 7 a.m. in Las Vegas. That is exactly what more than 50 RVDA members did when they gathered to participate in the third annual Women in the RV Industry Breakfast forum on Sept. 24.

The forum was hosted by panelists: Ellen Kietzmann, VP of Sales and Marketing for Blue Ox; Debbie Brunoforte, President of Little Dealers, Little Prices; and Fran Van Pelt, a 20 Group facilitator for Spader Business Management.

With a few gentlemen sprinkled in, the predominately female audience enjoyed an early morning breakfast as they listened to the panelists discuss: communication, achievement and self confidence.
“We have been asked each year to have some type of event where women can network and ask the questions they want and get the input that they need,” Van Pelt said.

“We tried to tailor this toward helping women be more successful…because we remember what it was like when we first started and we really never had any mentors or anybody that helped us along the way,” Kietzmann said.

Communication
Fran Van Pelt was the opening speaker and centered her presentation on communication. She covered topics such as: personality types, style sync and top motivators for working with employees. Van Pelt set an informative, but not preachy, tone for the forum by engaging the audience and requesting feedback as the presentation progressed.

Van Pelt spent the most time explaining and discussing the four different personality types and how to effectively communicate with each type. She said the four personality types are: the dominate personality, the socializer, the conservative and the analyst. She explained how each type uses different questions when communicating, how each type dresses and how to communicate effectively with each.
